About Kessler Craftsman Mission Picture FramesBe sure to view the Kessler Craftsman's portfolio and catalogue for detailed examples of our craftsmanship. With the resurgence of interest in Arts and Crafts furniture, more discriminating homeowners, decorators and architects are using authentic elements of the Arts and Crafts Style in ways that surpass use of furniture. Kessler Craftsman Mission frames are handcrafted in the same meticulous way as Kessler Craftsman furniture. Each frame is specifically designed to compliment and enhance the artwork it will encompass. Customers can self-select their choice of wood, design and decorative options. And, since each frame is custom-made, dimensions are exact. A typical commissioned frame will feature fine hardwood such as quartersawn White Oak, Curly American Black Cherry or Black Walnut, mortise and tenon construction, exposed through-tenons, tusk-tenons or pegged joinery. Details such as hand-cut pyramid plugs, butterfly inlays or even the addition of stained glass can be incorporated into most Mission picture frames. |
